Just a litle peep into my world.
About 3 weeks ago, I set a goal of reading for 7 hours everyday. To be honest it felt crazy especially because I don’t have any exams to write.
But I really just wanted to build some intellectual muscles.
7 hours daily, aren’t easy. So I did some calculations and built a strategy on how to achieve it.
Part of the strategy is not sitting down, for 7 straight hours to read. Know what works for you. I break my 7 hours into piecemeal.
Some days, I read for 7 hours, other days, I didn’t read up to 7 hours but I sure read for some hours. #I think I deserve some accolades. 👏 👏 👏 😂 😂
To spice up the reading, I added a bit just a little bit of e-books. They felt easier to carry around especially as they live in my phone 😁😁.
Am still on this journey, it’s going to be a year round goal. Thankfully listening to Chimamanda’s Harvard Class of 2018 day speech further inspired me. (please, go watch that video if you are yet to…)
So I have been reading and will still read, lots of books on life, relationships, inspiration, linguistic and some literary works too.
Growing up, I read alot of Enid Blyton series and Pacesetters series too, so imagine my joy when I stumbled on them again.
This Missy has been busy reading them, I just added them to the collection of books to be read.
For the records, I work a 9 to 5 and mostly work over time. Many of us complain of no time when actually we have so much time at our disposal.
Nb: this a post to inspire you to read. However, don’t try to copy me, set a goal that is achievable based on your schedule and don’t be afraid to stretch.
So which book have you been reading or read in recent times…..
In case you missed any of the Monday motivation post, kindly read it, I bet you will be inspired.
